At Bee-lieve Survivors CIC, we believe that supporting survivors is essential — but preventing sexual violence matters too.
Prevention begins with creating opportunities to talk openly about consent, boundaries, healthy relationships, safeguarding and the behaviours and attitudes that can contribute to harm.
Through education, awareness and early intervention, we aim to contribute to safer communities while keeping the experiences and needs of survivors at the heart of our work.
We also recognise that different people need different kinds of support. That's why, where a concern falls outside our remit, we believe in being clear about what we can provide and helping people find appropriate specialist support.

We believe that supporting survivors is an important part of responding to sexual violence — but prevention matters too.
Our work is rooted in trauma-informed support for people who have experienced sexual violence, alongside opportunities for education, awareness and early intervention.
We believe communities are safer when we can have open, informed conversations about:
Prevention does not mean placing responsibility for sexual violence onto survivors. It does not excuse harmful behaviour or reduce the importance of accountability. It means asking what we can do before harm happens, as well as considering how we respond afterwards.
We also recognise that people may need different kinds of specialist support. Our role is to be clear about what we can offer and to help people find the right support when something falls outside our remit.
Our therapeutic work is focused on supporting survivors. We do not provide specialist intervention for people who are concerned about their own sexual thoughts or behaviour, but we recognise that seeking appropriate help early can be an important part of preventing further harm.
We will therefore signpost people to specialist services where appropriate. This is not about judgement; it is about making sure people receive support from practitioners with the specific knowledge, training and expertise required.
For us, knowing our boundaries is part of keeping people safe — including creating pathways to help before harm occurs.
We aim to contribute to prevention through education, awareness and community engagement. This may include workshops, psychoeducation, professional learning and conversations that help people develop a better understanding of sexual violence, trauma, consent, boundaries and safeguarding. Our aim is not to tell people what they should think or feel. It is to create opportunities for informed conversations, reflection and learning. We believe that prevention works best when it is approached collectively — through individuals, families, education, professionals, organisations and communities.
This section is for anyone who may be concerned about their own sexual thoughts, feelings or behaviour, or who is worried that they may harm someone.Bee-lieve Survivors CIC does not provide counselling, therapy or specialist intervention for people who have sexually offended or who are concerned that they may be at risk of offending. Our therapeutic work is focused on supporting survivors of sexual violence. However, we believe that seeking appropriate help before harm occurs is an important part of prevention. If you are worried about your own thoughts or behaviour, you do not have to wait until something happens before seeking specialist support.

We believe that prevention and survivor support are not opposing approaches. We can support survivors, listen to their experiences and work to improve access to appropriate support, while also recognising the importance of preventing sexual violence from happening in the first place. For us, prevention means:understanding → educating → recognising → responding → preventing We want to contribute to communities where people understand consent and boundaries, where concerns can be recognised earlier, where professionals feel better equipped to respond, and where people know where to seek appropriate specialist help.
